my work diary is showing nothing even though I was logged in yesterday and today for several hours

Were you using it as a time clock?
It is not a time clock.

We don't "start" the time-tracker at the beginning of a work session and then come back and "stop" the time-tracker.

It is designed to record activity levels only during active computer use.

Without sufficient mouse/keyboard activity, it is designed to NOT record time segments.
