Hi Sakthi,

Your first job on Upwork will come when you bid on jobs by sending proposals. When clients see your proposals--if interested--they usually visit your profile.

To increase your chances, make your profile more appealing by doing the following:

1) Remove "CAREER SUMMARY" from the beginning of your overview/summary.

2) Instead of using lists, use full sentences to write your summary. Tell clients what you can do, your experience doing it, and how you can meet their needs and solve their problems. Clients are looking for reasons to choose you and the information you provide can help them better understand why they should hire you and how it will benefit them.

3) Add more meaningful job descriptions to each job in your employment history. A job description is especially important when the job is highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork. Upwork uses keywords in job titles and descriptions to match you with relevant jobs.

4) You may want to add one or two Specialized Profiles that focus on specific services or completely unrelated services. Having a specialized profile can help increase a freelancer's searchability.
