How can I improve my chances of getting invites on my profile after boosting it?

Hello everyone,

I have optimized my profile to the fullest and ensured it’s as detailed and engaging as possible. However, in recent times, I’ve noticed a significant drop in the number of invites I’m receiving. Given that receiving invites greatly increases the chances of being hired, this decline is concerning. I'd appreciate any insights or suggestions to improve my profile visibility and increase the flow of invites.

Ramesh,

The ability to generate invites is tricky. You, however, pride yourself as an expert in understanding SEO dynamics. So, it is strange that you are asking for help here. You've done very well without our help.

I would do an SEO audit of your own profile to find out if you have the right keywords in place. You could also refresh your entire page, because newer information is given a higher ranking than old information. You might also search for Wordpress developers and find ones who have recent reviews posted by clients. If they have recent reviews, they are getting work that is current. Read their profiles and see wha they have to say.

There are several changes you should make to your profile. You have a tendency to oversell, which can be a turn-off, especially when times are tough. If the economy is bad, people steer away from people who promise the moon and the stars. They know the freelancer is promising more than he or she can delivere and this brings trust levels down. In hard times, you want people to trust you; you do not want people to run away because you sound like a charlatan.

You also put a going rate of $15 per hour. But you say you are #1 Wordpress designer and developer. If you were really #1 you would charge more than $15. So, you can see how people might not trust you, when you give the inconsistent information. (You are No 1, but don't charge very much. That sounds pretty suspicioius.)

You know that expression, if it's too good to be true, it probably isnt true. You could be triggering that kind of fear. Wow -- the No. 1 designer and he only charges $15 per hour -- that sounds too good to be true.

Oh, the last thing, of couse, is that markets shift. You now have to compete against AI. Maybe Wordpress isn't as popular as it used to be.

TC Williams says every day "Upgrade your skills!" He's right. Maybe it's time to learn the more current system. Maybe Wordpress is out of fashion.

Anyway, good luck. You've done better than most and everyone goes through a slump now and then. Try those suggestions or just settle down ...enjoy your downtime if you can.
