So, the last help with profile system was working so well, Upwork decided to go with a system where anyone needing help has to start a new thread and they are unlikely to go to other posts where their specific concerns are not addressed?
So, the advice that used to be all in one thread, allowing reviewers to say, "Read the previous thread, because the concerns are similar to yours" is no longer an option?
So, the previous thread that attracted maybe three to seven new inquiries an hour has been relegated to this disjointed system that, as far as I know, has gotten two profile review requests in the past 24 hours?
I have quiped several times in various postings that if something works on this platform, just hang on long enough and Upwork will break it.
You can't leave well enough alone, can you?

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your feedback. We made this decision because using one thread was quite unruly. Not only would it take a long time to load, but on numerous occassions we observed individuals being skipped and not receiving help. We had to regularly recreate the thread from scratch to make it manageable. Our goal was to make it easier to navigate for everyone involved. For example, it's easier to see when someone has received help and when they have not.
In your example of having people read a previous post, the same advice can still be provided. With the new system, a link could be easily provided to an appropriate thread without there being confusion of which specific piece of feedback is being referenced. I will also add a best practice advising new freelancers to review existing threads related to their domain before posting.
This separate board has been our goal for a long time but if it proves problematic, we will certainly consider other options.

Mike,
Anyway, food for thought, I guess. I have a basic theory; if it isn't convenient, it won't work. I'll see if I can reinvent my contributions, but it looks like the new system will be harder for me, more convenient for you.
I'm glad you have some metrics for figuring this out. A month from now we'll know more, won't we?
Thanks for the reply.
