Hi Syed,
You can ask questions about Connects and other Upwork concerns in the Freelancer's Forum. However, it might be best to read: Understanding and Using Connects.
Your profile is quite basic and there are thousands of graphic designers on Upwork to compete with. Here are specific tips:
1) Make sure your title is focused on a specific skill category or related skill categories. You have three unrelated items in your title, so you must decide which service you will provide through your main profile. If you wish to provide graphic design services, your title should be Graphic Designer. Content writing and C# are both unrelated and could be added to specialized profiles (see below).
2) Your overview/summary is quite generic and sounds like copy/paste or generative AI; I've seen identical words across hundreds of profiles. Clients are looking for experience and skills, but the most important thing is your value--what differentiates you from others. You can add value by helping clients understand the benefits of working with you. For example:
Clients are looking for reasons to choose you and the information you provide can help them better understand why they should hire you and how it will benefit them.
3) Add more items to your portfolio. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients, and clients will expect several examples froma graphic designer. Most graphic designers' portfolios include between 15 - 50 different samples. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
4) Be sure to add additional relevant skill categories to your skills list. You are missing important skill categories like Graphic Design. We are allowed up to 15 skills. Upwork uses these skill categories to match you with relevant jobs, and to help your profile appear in search results when clients search for those skills.
5) I recommend using an even number hourly rate that ends in .00. Round numbers are usually perceived as clearer and easily understandable by consumers/clients. I believe $11.00/hr will be more appealing to clients, and recognized as more trustworthy.
6) As stated above, add one or two Specialized Profiles; maybe one that focuses on content writing and another focusing on C# programming, or completely unrelated services. Having a specialized profile can help increase a freelancer's searchability.
Good luck!
