Is Upwork Dead or my profile died ‌‌

Hey guys! past few months my profile has been getting zero organic views and only getting paid views through boosting and available now.  It doesn't appear on the pages of my main keyword. Tried changing keywords that are working for top guys in my niche still no luck. I have Upwork premium, boosting enabled, and available now.

I got inactive this starting year but then started getting active around March and got a few clients but did not get enough invites or organic views. What could be the reason? any expert opinion or suggestions will be appreciated which can help my profile stand out again.

Hey Mojiz,

Many freelancers--even Expert-Vetted, Top-Rated Plus and Top-Rated freelancers--are struggling to find jobs these days. Invitations, proposals views, and profile views have declined or completely disappeared, even when boosting profiles and enabling the Availability badge. I don't believe the information in your profile is the biggest issue; however, competition, market fluctuations, and changes across the platform are the likely culprits. The unpredictable nature of Upwork's algorithm and how it positions our profiles in search results, and ranks our proposals affects invitations.

I do think you could optimize the first part of your profile overview/summary. Starting with an emoji and a website portfolio probably doesn't get much attention. When clients search for freelancers, only the first 200-225 characters of your summary are shown. This means you have very little space (approximately two short sentences) to get their attention. You want clients to see their goals (your services and results) in this small space.

I think the following or something similar is more appealing at the beginning of a summary:

I turn your boring videos into fast and engaging content matching the latest trends and styles. I create YouTube videos, shortform videos, explanatory videos, commercial videos, social media ad videos and other content, and emphasize quality to achieve an aesthetically pleasing and clear look.

You should also consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking 10 to 30 days to complete. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.

Good luck!
