Shamia,

The first thing to do is decide what you are good at and what you enjoy doing. Then try to figure out if there is a market for this skill --is it something that you can do that will earn you enough money to live and be happy?

That's where freelance work starts. You can't just guess at what you might want to do or if it is something that will pay enough. You have to do some research. Luckily, the Internet provides all the information -- and sometimes all the training -- you will need.

Employees work for employers, who are expected to train them. Freelancers are expected to know what they are doing. So, unless you work for someone else -- in a job, not freelance -- you  will have to train yourself or find as school or program that trains workers.

You say "data entry, transcription, article writing, etc." Guessing where to start is fine, but it sounds like you're not ready to try freelancing. Ask yourself which of these skills can you master enough to turn professional? You can train yourself to do any of those things, expecially with the Internet nearby. But you shouldn't just jump in without first training to get your skills up to a professional level.

After that, look through Upwork profiles and see how people sell themselves. If you want to do data entry and have become fast and accurate enough to offer this service to others, then look through data entry profiles and try to find successul freelancers in that niche. Study how they sell themselves and how much they charge -- study their pages thoroughly.

There isn't free job training  on Upwork. Nobody here can help you with that. Search the Internet for training options. Pick a skill, then research the market and then join a freelance platform, like Upwork., Unfortunately, you can't put the cart before the horse and get away with it.  That doesn't work very often,  if at all.

Good luck.
