Hey,
I'm two months on Upwork. While the journey has had its ups and downs, I'm committed to finding my next project.
To improve my Upwork profile, I'm looking for feedback on my current profile and suggestions for strengthening my portfolio.
Thank you for your time.

Sara,
There are several things that can be improved with your profile. But your picture is not one of them. That's pretty great. Your pose, with your arms across your front, makes you look very confident and friendly.
OK ... first the bad news.
It is very difficult to try to be a freelancer who does more than one thing. Everyone wants to hire an expert. They don't know you, so you have to sound extremely confident. And it is hard to convince people that you are an expert in three different things. It's hard enough to be an expert in one thing, let alone three.
Now, some things tie together ... project management and writing about project management ... or project management and project assistant. That can be done. But you should work harder on tying your two or three things together. If you don't tie them together, you sound distracted, instead of thorough.
"I am an experienced project manager who writes about project management and can take over various project or serve as a project assistant who anticipates what you need and knows how to get things done."
Do you see how that ties it all together ... writing, project managment and executive assistant ... if you don't tie them together you just sound scattered.
Secondly, the term "project management" is OK in some cases, but it helps to be much more specific about your experiences. Writing about your experiences is what validates your claim about being an expert. "I am an expert," doesn't go so far as, "I am an expert who has worked on construction projects, large corporate events and fund raising."
See how that makes it sound like you actually did something? Just saying, "I have experience doing project management," might mean you helped sweep the parking lot. Maybe it means you did some house painting. Those are projects, aren't they?
So ... be more specific about your experiences. This is much more convincing than repeating "project management" without any validation.
I must say that much of your write-up is very, very good. There are nice details. The writing flows nicely.
I do not like the "You can count on my if you're struggling with..." section. I would turn that into a postitive narrative of your skills. "I can take some of the pressure off your shoulders when it comes to many tasks and deadlines," sounds better than "If you are struggling ..." Saying, "I am an excellent communicator who can compose in-house and community-oriented communications," sounds better than "If your team is struggling with communication issues ..." Saying, "I am reliable, consistent and have room for long-term assignments," sounds better than "Looking for a reliable virtual assistant?"
And stay with the narrative form. People remember narratives ... at the same time ... people ignore lists. (I never read lists.) So, turn that ending into a narrative and skip the bullet-point approach.
Writing a narrative helps people get to know you. Writing a lists helps them ignore you and says nothing about your winning personality.
Finally, put your rate at $20 per hour or more. The rate you post has nothing to do with the money you will earn on Upwork. Every contract includes a discussion of what you might expect. But a low rate says you are not very confident and a modest or high rate says you are confident. This is the Internet, so projecting confidence is very important. If you're not confident in yourself, people reading your profile will pick up on that.
Good luck.

You're welcome. And thanks for the song. That was very nice ... didn't expect that.
These days, I'm hooked on Allison Russell. Her newest is Returner or The Returner. The opening song is delightful.
Thanks again.

Anthony, thank you for the tip, I didn't listen Allison Russell.
I enjoyed her tiny desk concert. I love it!
