Not getting views and impressions and my proposal are not viewed

I will like you to take a look at my profile I noticed I don't always get profile view that much and no impressions. I always submit proposals but my proposal are not always viewed nor am I hired. Any suggestion will go a long way to better my account https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~012d5e1868e80973d1

Tawakaitu,

There are 10 people standing in line. Someone is about to hire one of them. Nine of the 10 people say, "Choose me, choose me, choose me."

The 10th person does not say anything.

Whom do you hire?

If I were desperate to sell a car, I would park near the road. I would say to everyone walking by, "Buy my car! Buy my car!"

Across the street is a man sitting next to a similar car that has a "for sale" sign on it. But he is just sitting there.  He is not pushing people to buy  the car -- he just sits there quietly.

Whom do you buy the car from?

When you say,  "Why choose me?" you have gone too far. Just tell people what you can do and what you can't do and let them make up their minds.

On Upwork, you want to sound professional. Someone who is professional is someone who has been doing the same job for 10 years. They know every surprise that might come along and they know they can handle it. They do not panic. They can solve every problem -- they have seen all of them in the past.

They also know that some weeks will be good ... they will get jobs ... and some weeks will be bad. They are prepared for this. This is how the market behaves no matter what you do. So, they are not in a hurry. Work will come to them because they don't look worried. They are calm. This is routine.

To look professional, you have to look like you've been doing this for 10 years. You don't need flashy profiles. You don't need "Why choose me?" You don't need to be in a hurry. You don't need to push.

Now -- are you in a hurry? Yes. You are in a hurry. But the trick is not to look like you are in a hurry. Look professional.

"I am an expert _________________ (virtual assistant) with ____________________ (schooling) and _______________ (work experience), who can ________________________ (help you), so you can _____________________ (do other things, make more money, not worry about this chore).

"I have done this before many times and I can do this for you. I know where I stand."

That's what you need. Try to sound like you're not in a hurry, even though you are.

Good luck.
