Hey Everyone,
I've been using Upwork for a while now, and I've updated my profile several times, but I'm still struggling to find a client. I've already purchased connects and I'm about to run out, but so far, I haven't had any luck with proposals.
I'd really appreciate it if you could share some tips and advice.
Thanks a bunch!

Hey Erlyn,
The updates since the review on April 30, 2024 look good. But I still think you can optimize the first part of your overview/summary. Remember the first two sentences (approximately 200-250 characters) I talked about? Clients quickly read these two sentences, so they need to see this:
"Need help with data entry, scheduling, inventory management, or other administrative duties? I’ve got you covered. Consider me your partner in productivity, ready to get the job done right every time. Let's tackle your to-do list together!"
rather than this:
"Turning Chaos into Order, One Task at a Time :page_with_curl:👩💻:white_heavy_check_mark::hundred_points: With my expertise and dedication, you can rest assured you'll receive top-notch support for any task."
The same applies to your proposals: clients can see only the first two sentences of your cover letters, so make sure you mention your understanding of the job, the results you can achieve, and your experience with similar jobs.
You should also consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking 10 to 30 days to complete. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.

Eryln,
Listen to this delightful paragraph:
With 10 years as a restaurant manager under my belt, I've swapped my apron for a keyboard and am now your go-to virtual assistant. I bring a keen eye for detail, a talent for smooth operations, and a knack for top-notch customer service to every task. My experience in the fast-paced restaurant world means I deliver accurate and efficient results with precision and speed. Whether it’s data entry, scheduling, financial statements or any other administrative task, I'm here to ensure everything runs as smoothly as a well-timed dinner rush. Let's get cooking on your projects!
Don't you see how charming that paragraph is? It's fresh, original, energetic, delightful. It's also informative. It gives clients hard information about what you can do, which is exactly what they want.
The missing ingedient in so many profiles is it does not reveal who the person is behind all the promises of being an expert. That paragraph does the opposite. It tells us who you are as a person. It has verve and snap and a good sense of humor. Isn't that who you really are?
Why don't you start with that paragraph, just as it is? The rest of your write-up, especially the opening, is full of hackneyed stuff that everyone expects you to say. It's kind of a drag. Some of that might be necessary, but it's exactly what everyone says. It doesn't make you stand out at all.
Try the new opening. See what happens.
