Profile not optimized !

Hello Team,

Can you please review my upwork profile? As its been a month, I've been regularly applying for relvant jobs from my profile but What I noticed lately is that my profile has not been optimized yet.

I have got this as my profile title  "SEO Specialist | Local SEO Specialist |On-Page & Off-Page SEO Services " and my profile is not optimized.

Please review  my profile and let me know if there are some faults that are holding back my profile.

Thank you !

Surose,

Your profile has a lot of great information ... but you are right. It is not optimized.

To be optimized, you have to give people what they want? Right? (If you don't, someone else will.)

So, my first thought is this: Would you ever go up to someone on the street ... someone you have never met ... and the first words out of your mouth are: "Ready  to turn clicks into cash?"

Would those ever be the very first words to say to someone? I don't think so.

The trick is ... you are acting like a salesman and the clients are already here to hire someone ... so you don't have to act like a salesman at all.  Right? They already came here to hire someone ... so why are you using these cheesy sales cliches in order to ensnare a client? They came here to hire someone. You don't have to put on a clown costume. Just be yourself.

Ask yourself ... what does a client on Upwork want?

Do you know? I'll tell you:

1. They want to hire an expert.

2. They want to hire a professional.

That's what they want. They know there are thousands of freelancers on Upwork ... so they want an expert. But they don't want to be scammed ... so they want a professional, someone with a solid track record, which tells them they probably won't get scammed.

Here's what you have to do:

1. As best you can, convince people you are an expert.

and

2.  Behave like a professional.

That's how to optimize your profile.

I'll tell you straight out ... your profile convinces me that you are well equiped as a SEO Specialist ... but it does not convince me you are a professional.

Imagine it this way: A lawyer opens an office on Main Street. For the first two years, he or she is DESPERATE for clients. So all they say and do all day long is this: "I WANT CLIENTS ...I NEED CLIENTS ...I WANT CLIENTS ...I NEED CLIENTS!!!!!"

That doesn't sound very professional, does it? No. It sounds like a rookie.

That's how you sound. You sound like a rookie.

A professional is someone who has done this for 10 years and knows every single problem that could arise. They have 15 solutions to each of those problems.  They are unphased by problems. They know there are slow periods and busy periods and they have solved that problem and don't worry about it anymore.  They know some clients will choose their competition and they don't worry about that, either. Nobody makes a sale with every single customer.

That is what you have to do: You have to act like you've done this for ten years and have everything under control.

"Ready to turn clicks into cash?" does not sound like a professional. It sounds like some who is trying to get me to hurry my decision. Professionals do not do that.

So, that's what's wrong with your profile. I'm pretty sure you are very good, if not an expert at SEO, but you are acting like a rookie and I want to hire a professional. You're not coming across as a professional ...

If you want to turn that around, send me a note. I'll walk you through it.

Thanks Anthony,
For the details feedback, I have changed the description now

Is this; present description too sounds like rookie or salesy?

As my profile is not optimized, I've aslo upgraded my profile to plus plan as it said it will help for new freencers + those whose profile is not optimized .
