Hi,
I used to be an auctioneer for fine art auctions, and I've had a variety of other jobs. I left the auction field a couple years before the pandemic because it was taking a real toll on my health, including a heart attack while on the job across the country. The last 5 years I've been running a boutique jewelry company with my partner, who's an established and well regarded fine artist. But last year, again, I was out most of the year due to heart issues. We had to close the studio, and I'm working on getting back to business with contract work on Upwork. Because I've been out of the market for so long, I would really appreciate some feedback to make sure my profile is up to snuff.

Hi Bryan,
Welcome to Upwork and welcome back to the world of work.
Overall, I think your profile looks good. Your overview/summary starts nicely, but I would go a bit further by giving specific examples of what you can do with AI image generation. In other words, what are some things you can create for clients. Maybe you could say something like:
I leverage cutting-edge AI tools and graphic design expertise to craft visually stunning and unique content. My proficiency in platforms like Midjourney and Leonardo AI allows me to generate captivating artwork across diverse styles. For example, I can create eye-catching images of landscapes, portraits, abstract art, and other forms of digital art for movies, advertisements, graphic novels, and other media. |
You can revise this to fit your own style, but the idea is the same--provide a few examples so that clients see how your services relate to their goals.
Next, I would add a few more details that show clients the benefit of hiring you:
Your portfolio, skills list, and employment history look great.
You should also consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking a minimum of 10 business days. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.
Good luck!
