Review My Profile Mian ShafaUllah

Hi I am new on Upwork. I lost my job 2 months ago and apply for many but no good response. Now I started working as freelancer on Upwork  last month. I have submitted 40 perposals on Upwork in last month  and only one perposal viewed by the client.

Please guide and help me to get hired by the client.

Hi Mian,

Getting hired involves a few different approaches, but other freelancers cannot help you get hired. I know 40 proposals seems like a lot, but many freelancers send 50+ proposals before getting their first job.

I looked through your profile and most of it looks okay. Your profile overview/summary is a bit long, but it has enough information for clients to understand your services and ability to help them. I recommend using a specific number to indicate your experience. Instead of:

"With extensive experience as a UK accountant..." ------> "With 10+ years of experience as a UK accountant..."

Other minor corrections and suggestions:

1) In your title, Quickbook should be QuickBooks.

2) In your employment history, correct the spelling of your first job title: UK Tax Accountat --> Accountant. Also, ensure you mention "Freelancer" in the title since you are not an accountant employed by Upwork.

3) Consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking 10 to 30 days to complete. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.

Good luck!
