Releasing milestone payment and submission of work for payment issues.

Clients may be having an error "Could not approve the submission. Please try again later" when releasing milestone payments.

Also, some freelancers are having the error "Submission of milestone failed" when submitting their work. 

We want to let you know that our engineers are aware of these issues and are now working as fast as possible to resolve them. We will update this thread once we have more information.

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with submitting the work for the second milestone of a contract I've with a client.

He released the money for the first milestone and funded the second one.

I've tried many different ways but still I'm unable to submit the work.

Does someone know how can I solve this?

It seems this may be a glitch. However, Clients can approve and release Milestones without you having to Use the Submit button. If you have already done work you can send it to the client via Google Drive and ask him to release the second milestone.

Yep, it is a glitch. I saw couple of topics with same issue today.

Hello, I'm having the same issue. Upwork won't let me Submit Work for Payment. I keep getting an error that says "Submission of milestone failed."

Tested with and without attachment, Chrome and Firefox.

Repeat client, existing contract with previous paid milestones.

Please notify when issue is resolved.
