Unable to accept an offer: "An error has occurred..."

Our engineers are working on improving error messages in cases like this to make them more descriptive and helpful.

Meanwhile, if you're experiencing an error like this with sending or accepting an offer, please make sure:

  • your and your client's accounts are in good standing
  • you don't have any account holds or notifications from the team in the help center
  • your client added a billing address and a valid payment method with sufficient amount to fund the offer

The question is why should you hire me ?when there are no. Of people seeking for this opportunity . So, writing is my passion and I believe that the work is done perfectly when the one pays interest and attention in that, although no interest is bigger than passion . I can fulfill your requirement of a beautiful content when i'm searching for a perfect topic to write over. so, I feel that I can do this job with full interest and perfection within the time limit.

Since Monday morning, I've also had the same issue of not being able to award a project/hire a freelancer and fund a milestone. Contacted support and submitted a ticket. Today, I received an email that said ticket was resolved, and so I tried, but it's still the same thing. It reports an error on page. Please look into this issue since it might not have been resolved for everyone?

Hi, I'm also having the same problem. Whenever I try to accept an offer, I get this error "An error has occurred. Please try again later".

Exact same error happening to me since Monday June 12th, with my first and only contract.  So three months and the bug persists, and the "engineers" still haven't come up with better error messages.  Also, when I raised the support ticket it was auto-closed the next day by the bot with a completely irrelevant answer.


I've been a freelancer here for less than 48 hours and so far my impression of the site is not positive.

I got an offer 2 days ago, and when I try to "accept offer", it gives an error:
"It seems like we ran into an unexpected problem with this offer. Please ask the client to withdraw it and create a new one, or contact technical support."

And, the client won't reply till mid January, and the offer expires of 01/JUL. So, I need some technical support agent to handle my case, and accept the offer for me, or fix what's wrong.

The project is on hourly.
