Hello, A client wants to talk to me via Upwork Call before the contact starts. Can I talk to him, will it be any violations? Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks

To help our users connect as safely as possible, we require that you do not request or share any contact information and keep all direct communications on Upwork until you start a contract. This means you cannot share your contact information in your profiles, proposals, job postings, invites, or other pre-hire contacts.

All introductions, interviews, and project scoping communications need to use Upwork's collaboration tools.

I would like to clarify that Upwork calls is one of three ways to place secure video and voice calls in the Upwork Message Center. You are allowed to communicate with the client before the contract using one of the three options. You can find more information in this help article.
