A few questions for a new freelancer.

Hi i'm Nick. I'm new to upwork (video editor). Well i wanna ask a few questions. I've sent about 35 proposals for jobs that i can complete 100% but noone even answered. I dont even charge a lot money for the projects because im new...Do i do something wrong? What should i write in the cover letter for a higher hire rate? Should i send proposals to unverified clients ? Are they all scammers? Do clients only hire older and experienced freelancers and snob the new ones? Any tips to get my first job in upwork? Thank you for reading my questions.

Hi Nick,

 

Check out this thread with links to helpful resources about getting started on Upwork. I would suggest to spend extra time on the Safety First section in order to learn how to protect yourself when sending proposals and accepting invites.
