Accepting an offer, agreeing on price and delivering the job

Hi, I've been messaging with a client to produce a four minute voice over. We agreed on price (I think I undersold myself...) and I've done the recording, but there's been no contract or anything and I don't know how to deliver the job. Any thoughts?

The subject of your post says 'accepting an offer.' Did the client send you an offer?

He asked me my rate per recorded minute and I told him. I think I undersold
it for a four minute piece, it won't amount to much at all, especially
prep.I had to modify the text, which we included in a final fee. He was
working on my posted hourly rat of $50 and then breaking it per minute. I
actually said $2.00, which is ridiculously low (but I'm very new to this)
and then an amount for the editing of text. In all, it comes to $20.

I've done the work, but haven't sent it. I haven't received an offer or an
agreement or anything yet, so I'm reluctant to send it. He might even say
no!

Don't send him the work now if you want to get paid. Ask the client to send you the offer and fund the agreed amount. Once you accept the offer, the contract will start, and you will be able to submit the work which he will then review and, if satisfied, release the payment.

Don't ever start a job without receiving the offer! It may be just a waste of time. It's a good thing you haven't sent the work.
