Account Approval

Hello Everone

I am asking here for a friend of who signed recently for Upwork. His account is not approved yet. Any idea on how to get the account approval?

Why doesn't your friend inquire him/herself? 

Some categories have too many freelancers unfortunately so that might be the issue.... What's your "friends" specialty?

He said he could not write a post in the community because his account is not approved.

He is an electrical and electronics engineer.  He got an email from Upwork stating that there are too many freelancers with his skills set. Do you think he can get his account approved in the future?

Hi Randa,

While we can't comment on another user's account status here in the Community, in general when someone registers to join Upwork we carefully review their profile to determine whether there is sufficient need for their skills and experience. Unfortunately, at times there are enough freelancers with a particular skillset in the marketplace and we do not accept the registration.

Randa,

Your friend should refer to the notification that shows at the top of the page when he views his profile. He may be able to resubmit his profile after updating it with more information about skills and experience he has.
