Active candidacy to active proposal

Hello everyone
I sent a proposal this morning. The client had immediately reached out to me with just a 'Hello'. I replied to the client almost immediately. In my proposal list it said 'Active Candidacy'. After a few hours, the 'Active Candidacy' had changed to 'Active Proposal'. Is there a difference between the two?
