Adding testimonials to a profile

Hello!
I am new to upwork, so didn't have projects and testimonials written via upwork.
But can I add testimonials from people that I have worked with before to my profile?

Is it ok per rules?

Hello Julia,

the portfolio you are showing doesn't have to be work you created for clients on upwork. You can show whatever you want as long as it is your own work and not particularly conflicting with social standarts.

You can certainly quote past external client's testimonials in your profile text. That's not against the rules.
