Adult website development is a violation of upwork terms and service. Right?

Hi there?
I am new on upwork, so I don't have experience in some cases, so I need your help.
Around 4 hours ago, I've submitted my proposal to this project.

**Edited for Community Guidelines**

Just before, this client sent a message to me with his skype id.
But I answered, "I am sorry. I will not use skype because it's violation of upwork terms and service."

So, I created a zoom meeting on upwork and had a call.
I am not good at English speaking, so I didn't understand fully what he said.
I am just conversational.

He gave me his website urls, and we promised to meet by tomorrow again.
After calling, I opened 2 websites, but oh, gosh.
I realized, those are an adult websites.

So I want to ask here, this is a violation of upwork terms and service. Right?
Then I will not work on this project.

Please let me know if I am right.
Thanks.

Hi Lei,

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this to our attention. I shared your report with our team for further investigation and appropriate actions will be taken according to our internal processes.

I would like to clarify that creating or supporting sexually explicit or pornographic content, including erotic writing is not allowed and is a violation of Upwork's Terms of Service. For more details on prohibited site uses please check this page and this help article.

Additionally, sharing contact information before a contract has started is against Upwork’s Upwork's Terms of Service and that all communications prior to the contract starting must take place on Upwork.

I also encourage you to let us know if a TOS violation has happened by using the Flag as Inappropriate option throughout the platform. You can learn more about user reporting here.

1 Kudo means that I am right?

Yes.

It means the person who gave you the kudo agrees with/endorses what you said. (click on the "1 Kudo" to see who gave it to you) Right or wrong doesn't enter into it. You could both be wrong! 😉

Got it. Thanks for letting me know. 😉
