Hello everyone,

Can someone please tell me what to do after I have reached a verbal agreement with them/ passed interview. It's a fixed cost project and I am new to Upwork so i dont know what to do now. Please explain in detail.

Hi,
First of all, do not start working based on a verbal interview only.

Tell the client to hire you officially. As it is a fixed rate contract, the client may hesitate to pay full in advance.

So in that case, you can ask the client to set a first milestone for the project.

And once the client hires you and deposits the full amount or a milestone in escrow, you can then start the work, not before that.
