Am new to Upwork and how to add working hours..

My cleint didn't accept my proposal yet but I have started to work and completed two hours of work for him which is acknowledged.

Hi Sanjutha,

Were you hired on an official contract? In order to be able to add manual time you will need to be hired on an official hourly contract and manual time to be enabled by your client. Please keep in mind that manual hours are not protected. 

In order to be eligible for our Upwork Payment Protection you will need to be hired on an official contract and fulfill the criteria required. Thank you.

Why would you start working if the client didn't hire you? It doesn't matter what they say in the messages, if you're not hired, then they don't have to pay you anything.

Hi Sanjutha,

How are you? Were you hired? Did your client sent you an offer and after that did you accepted it? By your words, it looks like you are not currently working on a contract & working for free. You should have to get yourself hired first and then start working on the work which he requires.
