Bank Reconciliations

Has anyone ever hired anyone through Upwork to perform a bank reconciliation? My bank statements have account info on them, and I want to make sure it's safe to give them to another party to perform some bank recs. We have several bank accounts, so it would be too tedious and time-consuming to cover up all sensitive info on them. Are there other steps I can take to mitigate the risk that I'm working with a scammer?
