Can someone with a good product description skills also do freelancing in other specific areas?

 I am new to Upwork and just got my membership not quiet long. I have some skills in research writing and product description for some blogs and website, but I worked with clients via LinkedIn and Facebook ads. Can i venture into other useful freelancing jobs here on Upwork? I would love to take part in Virtual Assistant jobs, Graphics Design jobs, Proofreading, data entry jobs, audio transcription jobs, etc. I have passion for this areas and would love to learn more so as to gain presence. I Will be grateful for insights and advice from professional upworkers on this.

There's nothing to stop you from offering whatever skills you like, but those categories are saturated with experienced freelancers already, so a person with little or no experience would have a difficult time getting hired. I think that technical writing is a better niche.
