Can't finish setting up profile due to texting requirement

Hi! I just signed up a few hours ago, and I discovered at the end of the "Create Profile" page that I have to verify my identity by taking the verification code from a text (via texting) and feed it back into the website. One small problem: I don't have a smartphone, and it's very presumptuous of UpWork to assume everyone has a smartphone. What are my alternatives?
