Change the VAT number

Hi there,

My VAT number was not accepted I believe because I didn't put the country letters before it. How do I change it? When I go to tax information the only option I have there is to remove it, and if I choose that a window pops up that "removing VAT exemption cannot be undone. Are you sure you want to do this?". So how do I change it without losing this?

Hi Mylene,

Please proceed with removing your VAT number and add it again. You can verify the validity of a VAT number by entering it in the VIES database. Let me know if it verifies in the database but not on Upwork. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I have delete the previous VAT number and added it again. I am now waiting for approval.

Please note that on the website it says “ 123456789B01” that this is the format we should use. In case you woulk to reduce inbound enquires about this topic.
