If so, was it hourly or fixed?

If hourly, did you use the time tracker?

If fixed, did you confirm that the client funded the milestone before submitting the project?

The most important thing for you to do is to figure out what you did wrong.

Only then can you confidently avoid making the same mistakes in the future and make sure that you get paid.
