Client has gone offline (hourly contract)

Hi Everyone,

I just started my profile on upwork some 2 weeks ago. I did some fixed contracts and everything went smoothly. There was an hourly contract which I was given, i accepted it. Client allowed manual hours, so after completing the work I added my hours. I didn't use tracker because I'm fairly new and didn't know how that works. Now after giving me the contract he became offline. I have completed the work and even sent him, but he hasn't replied. Its been 2 days, Kindly tell me what to do.

re: "Client has gone offline (hourly contract)"

So what?

It doesn't matter that he hasn't replied.

Today is Sunday. Lots of clients aren't working at all over the past 2 days.

What is important is that YOU did the work and you sent it in.

That's all you need to worry about.

If the client replies? That's fine.

If the client does NOT reply? That's fine, too.

You get paid the same either way.

re: "Kindly tell me what to do."

You ALREADY did the work you were assigned to do.

You ALREADY sent the files to the client.

You ALREADY logged your hours.

NOW:

Do nothing.

Do NOT send any messages to the client.

If the client wants you to do more work for him, he will contact you.

will i receive the money for the hours logged?

re: "will i receive the money for the hours logged?"

Yes.

When you have an hourly contract, you are paid for the hours you log.

It DOES NOT MATTER if the client replies.

It DOES NOT MATTER if the client is online.

It DOES NOT MATTER if the contract gets closed or remains open.
