Client wants to contact outside Upwork before starting the contract.

One of my clients asked about my email and wanted to chat outside Upwork before starting the contract. As a new member I don't know whether it is right of wrong.Also I don't want to be in any kind of risk so that my account gets suspended. So I reported that particular text and I didn't go any further.Also I have a question, if the payment is done within Upwork, is it safe to contact outside upwork after starting the contract?Thankyou.

Communicating outside of Upwork is not a violation. But, please keep in mind that accepting or offering to get paid outside of Upwork is a violation of our TOS.
