Hi -
I just joined upwork and wanted to confirm there are no fees involved. It is my understanding that Upwork charges a 20% fee on billings. Please confirm.
Thank you

Confirm which part?
That there are no fees, or that there is a 20% fee on billings?
UpWork does take 20% on contracts under $500.

If you're new, you might want to start with https://www.upwork.com/hiring/education/getting-started-for-freelancers/
It has answers to a lot of common questions and concerns, including how you get paid, etc.

Which, presumably, is why this poster pointed her to resources for people who just joined Upwork. Your frenzy to find some fault to point out in others' postings has reached a level that's making you look a bit ridiculous.

In this context, "If you're new" is the idiomatic equivalent of "Since you're new."

Thank you so much!
You are absolutely welcome. But I would also recommend reading/checking out the links/and following what's going on this community. My opinion is everyone's journey on Upwork is fairly unique and so it is good to form your own opinion.
