Contract Problem

Hi everyone.

I got a job last week and finished the task what client asked and he told me he was satisfied with the result and already paid the entire milestone.

But why didn’t he finish the contract for several days.
Even, I tried to contact on Upwork, I saw he’s online but not answering my message.

How can I solve this problem? Can I finish the contract on my end?
I think in that case it will affect badly to my rating here right?

Please help me with this if anyone knows how to solve this kind of problem.

Wait until you have a few more contracts before you end the contract yourself.

Why doesn't upwork have a way to solve this kind of issue for freelancers?
Just contact the client to finish the contract or upwork can finish the contract by default rate, at least don't affect the rating nof account.

 

I really want to know the real solution.

Ending the contract yourself does not have any negative impact on your JSS as you have received payment on it. Whoever told you otherwise was misinformed.

It simply does not look great on your profile if your first contract ended without feedback, but that's my personal taste.

Good news! The client replied today and finished the contract with a good review Smiley Happy

I feel really happy with the current result.
