I've been earning few $$$ since I got my first job here at Upwork. 

But I've also been thinking of looking for another job but I realized that I no longer have enough Connects.

Can I actually buy Connects using my earned $$$?

Yes, your account balance is first used to purchase any connects. If the balance is not enough, your payment method is charged.
