I am new to Upwork and attempting to set up my security question. On two different browsers, I can select a question from the drop-down menu but then cannot check the two boxes (I understand my account will be locked..., and Remember this device), nor can I move forward.

I have edited the screenshots from your post as they share your security question as well as your answer.
As there are no known bugs at this time affecting the ability to enter security questions, could you please try creating your security question and answer from a different browser? If the problem persists then please do reach back out and we will assist you further.
