I am just going through the process of trying to hire someone and it asked me for my company address. I don't have a company does that mean I can't be a client or so should I just put my home address?

Just use your legal name and your home address.

Nick: Upwork is offering a service, and they're happy to sell that service to anybody who is willing to pay.

An individual person can indeed hire freelancers on Upwork, just as an individual person can buy pretzels from Costco.

You may need to create an Upwork account, but you have already done so, and you know it is easy to do.
