Hi, how important is it to have testimonials on your Upwork profile or work history or job success? What if you're new in your area and don't have any past work history? Can such a person get the orders from clients? The same question for Certifications, if you don't have?

By definition.... everyone has to start somewhere.

Every Upwork freelancer who now has an impressive work history on Upwork started out with zero work history. So, yes, it is possible.
