Fud- BE AWARE OF **Edited for guidelines

I have to file a complaint. I am new to Upwork. I am freelancer and I applied to number of proposal to get work.Recently I was messaged by **Edited for Community Guidelines** and he started to talk number of things and made me work almost 6 hours for which I submitted a document and than he just took my work and never paid. All this is captured in my conversation history on your Upwork app. Can you please investigate and get him out of your platform. What he is doing is total fraud and wasting people time and enery. I was working till 1 am and not getting paid for my effort and feel like robber!

Hi Farrukh,

Sorry to hear that this happened. You'll definitely want to make sure that you have a contract with the client before starting on any work, and also that they have a verified billing method so that the work you do can be covered by Upwork Payment Protection.

I would also suggest you browse this thread which has helpful tips and excellent resources for users just getting started on the platform. We will also review the client and take action if violations of ToS are found.
