Hi happy to find yu in the community will you mind provide me a sample of one of your article?

Charles Deus,
I'm not sure I understand your question. Freelancers do not provide other freelancers sample articles.
This thread is for freelancers to request feedback on their profiles.

Anshara,
One of your writing samples is 80 words long (I counted). One is eight words long. The last one is about 100 words long.
You should have at least one sample that shows a standard article that you wrote -- at least 600 words. These short bits are not enough for many publishers to take seriously.
Sep 22, 2023 04:02:56 PM by Anthony H
Krystal,
Your write-up is quite terse -- kind of bluntly to the point. It is also quite short. I think it needs to be aired out a little bit.
I like your opening. It's very strong. Mentioning your Masters' degree right away is important. It tells us you are a contender right away, someone to pay attention to.
I still think a little more story-telling would be in order. One rule of thumb is that people hire people they think they will get along with and you are straight to the point and business-like, which doesn't give anyone a chance to get any vibe about your personality. You don't have to force that, just be yourself and write a bit more and your friendliness will show up on its own. But being friendly is important.
Being confident is also important. You are off to a great start on that; your approach is confident. But it needs a few more details to be convincing. Talk a little about the small, medium and large businesses you've worked for. Any kind of detail will add to your credibility, even if it's, "I've worked for clothing retailers, local farmers and nonprofit companies throughout Texas." Details don't have to be any more personal than that, but details/specifics helps sell your story. Stayng distant or vague doesn't sound as convincing as details do.
That's all I can think of for the moment ... I think your pricing seems OK. Oh, if stuck simply comb through Upwork and find other accountant profiles and see if you can get any ideas from them. That might help.
Good luck.

Shaban,
My first suggestion is to remove the first sentence in your overview/summary: "Hello, my name is Shaban Qayyum. I am a professional Graphic designer based in Islamabad Pakistan." This seems innocent, but it takes up too much valuable space. Only the first two sentences of your summary are shown to clients in searches, which means you have very little space to get their attention. You want clients to see important information in that small space--not a greeting, your name, or your location. Clients can already see your name and locationi on your profile.
Also, parts of your summary refer to you ("I") while other parts refer to "we." I recommend each reference be to you: "I We offer Logo Design services for various industries" and "SERVICES I WE OFFER:" and "MY OUR PROCESS."
The other areas of your profile look fine.

I am new here.
Can anyone give me some tips to help me succeed as a freelancer?
Thank you 😊

Hi Kristina,
The answer to your question has two angles--one is about freelancing and the other is about using Upwork as a tool during your freelancing journey.
If you are completely new to freelancing, I'm afraid these forums might not be the best place to learn. Freelancing is a business and there are too many facets of running a freelancing business to start a discussion here.
However, these forums are great for learning about Upwork and how to use the marketplace to find work and connect with clients. The best place to start is the Upwork Academy, which has several courses and learning paths that show you how to navigate the site and use its resources successfully.
The courses provide information for building your profile, but if you want other freelancers to review your profile, post a message in New To Upwork: Get Profile Feedback.

Anoosha,
Welcome to Upwork.
Clients come to Upwork when they have specific needs and they look for freelancers who have the skills and qualifications to fill those needs. Without professional experience, it will be difficult to find clients who will hire you to provide mental health services. However, if you wish to provide psychology/mental health services, your profile must market your skills and qualifications, and your services.
Your profile--especially your overview/summary--needs to offer clients an overview of the services you can provide. If you are focusing on psychology services, you must use your summary to explain the services you will provide, how you will help clients meet their needs, and why they should hire you.
Since you have other non-psychological skills, you should create one or two Specialized Profiles that focus logo design, mobile app testing, or any services not related to psychology. In those profiles, you should use the same approach--tell clients which logo design or mobile app testing services you provide, how you will meet the clients' needs, and why you are the best logo designer/mobile app tester they can hire.
Since you are new to Upwork, make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

I will appreciate any help as a newbie. Navigating through the help resources on my phone is daunting, I think it will be a better experience on the laptop. I truly need help as I want to get engaged full time here.

Marcus,
Welcome to Upwork.
I looked through your profile and have a few suggestions on how to improve. However, you are right--the help resources are valuable, so you should look at them on a laptop.
Title: Upwork profiles work best when they are focused on a specific skill area or two or more highly related skill areas. Your title reflect unrelated skill areas and this will confuse potential clients. My recommendation is to focus your main profile on GIS services, then create one or two Specialized Profiles that focus on any services not related to GIS (i.e., data entry/collection).
In doing that, your title for your GIS main profile should only include GIS-related skill areas. In your data entry specialized profile, that title should only include data entry skill areas.
Overview/Summary: The same concept flows to your summary. Use your main profile summary to tell clients which GIS services you provide (your summary does a good job of this) and how your services can help meet their goals or solve their problems (your summary needs to talk about this).
You will apply this same approach to your data entry specialized profile--
For each profile, remove the following from the first two lines: "Profile" and "Professional Summary" Why? Because only the first two sentences of your summary are shown to clients when they search for freelancers. You have very little space to grab their attention, and you do not want to waste space with words like "profile" and "professional summary."
Portfolio: Add a portfolio to show samples of your work. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
When you are able to view the site on your laptop, be sure to review the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:
Good luck!

I believe this post originated in another thread. In that thread, William mentioned that you should use a photo of yourself--not an AI-generated photo.

Onesmus,
Nice updates since the last review.
Your portfolio, skills, consultation, project catalog, and other areas of your profile look good. I do not see any problems or issues that would prevent a client from hiring you.
Good luck!

Thank you!!

Hi Coleen Grace,
Very good start to your profile! Your overview/summary is well-written and informative, and I think clients should have no problems choosing you to help them meet their goals.
The only suggestion I have is to add a portfolio to show samples of your work. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
Everything else looks good.
