Ashwini,
This has been happening to thousands of freelancers. Increased competition, proposals being rotated in search results, and now many freelancers are boosting their proposals. Each of these could be causing your profile to appear less in search results, which means fewer invitations.
I know that isn't very comforting, but it's most likely a combination of those things.

It seems that my job proposals aren't viewed by clients. I have sent enough proposals but not a single client view my proposal. It is happening for a month now. Is there something wrong with my profile? Does my proposal go to clients project dashboar? Can you check my profile and tell what is wrong. That would be awesome
Waiting for your kind response
Regards
Abid Hussain

Alexandra,
In your three sentences, I found a very captivating style. A profile, however, needs to be more of a sales pitch. And publishers who hire Upwork writers like to hear certain messages. They are not very interested in creative writing or poetry. They want to hear you are experienced and know how to get the job done. They want to know you can clarify complex topics. On the plus side, they want to hear that you can engage the reader and I personally enjoyed knowing you write from an emotionally aware standpoint. I am also a trained psychologist and a writer. My psychology training informs my writing all the time.
Publishers here want fast, publication-ready content. They want writers who can turn complex topics into simple, readable prose. They also want writers comfortable with a range or experience in a range of topics. It helps to say you are ready to write travel stories, medical content, product-oriented copy, science, technology, as well as other topics. Even if you have no experience with certain topics, you can mention them and publishers will see that you at least know what it takes to write in various genres.
You can also expound on your psychology training. Not only has this made you very knowledgeable in that field, it shows that you are analytical, think logically, learn quickly. A lot of profiles say they love to learn, but they miss the point that quick learning makes you a quick writer. There's no point mentioning random things without tying that to how it will benefit the clients. "With a college degree, I am capable of covering a wide range of topics." Mention your assets, but don't forget to sell the benefits of them to your audience.
Nuts and bolts. It helps to have professional writing samples. If you don't have any, go to the job listings and pick two or three job offers and assign yourself the jobs. Write up the articles and proofread them until they're perfect. Post those as your writing samples.
Try to expound on your writing history a bit. This gives clients a chance to know you, but it also provides more credibility to your write-up.
And check out other writer profiles to see how they have sold themselves. You can pick up a lot of ideas that way.
That said, employees sell their experience, but freelancers sell their expertise. If you can, change your opening to "My expertise lies in ... " You have to establish your exprtise right away. It's one of the keys to keeping a client's attention.
Good luck to you.

My first experience Is it possible to put a comment on my profile..
thanks.
Nov 8, 2023 07:23:27 PM by Clark S
Safa,
Your profile still needs a lot of work.
The first thing you should do is change your profile photo. The picture in your photo should be a close-up image of your head and shoulders that clearly shows your face. The picture should not be a graphic or avatar. Read through Upwork's best practices for How to Choose A Good Profile Picture.
You need to add more information to your overview/summary that explains the services you can provide to clients. Also, add a portfolio to show samples of previous work or to demonstrate your skills. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. Then, update your skills list with all the skills relevant to your services.
Make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

Hi members,
No one has taken a look at my profile though I requested. Could anyone give a response please.
Nov 9, 2023 03:43:01 PM by Clark S
Hi,
I looked through your profile and I think it looks okay. However, I have a few suggestions that might help improve it.
First, your diverse skill set is great, but tackling all of those skills in the same profile can be confusing to clients. Clients come to Upwork with specific needs and they look for freelancers with specific skills who can meet those needs. There are times when clients may look for a diverse freelancer, but most are not looking for data entry, logo design, and content writing at the same time.
I recommend adding one or two Specialized Profiles that focus on unrelated services. For example, your main profile can focus on virtual assistance/admin assistance and customer support. One specialized profile can focus on content writing, while another specialized profile focuses on graphics/WordPress, etc.
Being versatile is great, but clients are typically looking for freelancers who can provide a specific service. I think your profile will be more appealing to clients if your main profile focuses on virtual/admin assistance services, while the specialized profiles focus on other areas.

Hello Malix,
Your profile summary starts with experience and skills, but you never tell clients how you can help them. Listing apps, frameworks, and programming languages does not help clients understand what you can do and how you can meet their needs. You should use examples and start your summary like this:
"Full-Stack and Mobile App Developer with a vast array of knowledge in many different front-end and back-end languages and databases. I can develop mobile and web applications like games and dashboards; desktop applications; custom UIs and widgets; and cross-platform applications."
You are missing two important skill categories in your skills list: MERN Stack and MEAN Stack. These are important since you mention MERN and MEAN in your title. It is important to keep your skills list updated with relevant skills categories so that Upwork can match you with relevant jobs, and so your profile will appear when clients search for your skills.

Hi Usman,
Nice profile.
It appears that your profile has everything it needs to convince clients to hire you. Your summary, portfolio, skills, project catalog, and certifications look good.
The only suggestion I have is to correct the spelling of your title. Developement should be Development, and I recommend this: ASP.NET | Angular Development
Good luck!

Hi Waqar,
Very nice profile.
It appears that you have everything needed for clients to understand your services and how you can help them. I do not see any problems in your profile that would prevent clients from hiring you.
Good luck!

I'm new here and just getting started. I am about 80% complete on my profile. My work history does not corespond to work as a social media assistant, niether does my education. Should I include them in my profile. Any other advice on how to improve my profile?
Nov 9, 2023 09:11:04 AM by Anthony H
Patrick,
Freelancers aren't hired because they are bright or creative. That's why employees are hired. It doesn't apply to freelancers.
Freelancers are hired because they have a service that they are selling. You have to start there. "I am a writer who can solve these problems for you ____________, _____________, etc." Or, "I am a graphic designer who can provide you with __________________, _______________, etc."
Figure out what service you consider yourself an expert at providing that is viable while working remotely. That's the place to start.

Hello Tarun,
I typically recommend freelancers avoid starting their profile summary with greetings and repeats of their title:
👋 Hey there! I'm Tarun.
(Google Ads and GA4 Specialist)
I recommend removing this because only the first two sentences of your summary are shown to clients when they search for freelancers. This means you have very little space to get their attention, and you want clients to see your services and experience in that small space. You don't want to waste space with greetings, your name, or repeating your title.
Speaking of your title, I think you should put your Google expertise there. For example: Media Buyer & Paid Media Specialist | Google Ads and GA4 Specialist
Everything else looks good.

Sileshi T. - Electromechanical Engineering - Upwork Freelancer from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Nov 10, 2023 11:34:03 AM by Clark S
Sileshi,
Your profile does not have enough information to convince clients to hire you. To make your profile more appealing to clients, provide more information in your overview/summary. Clients come to Upwork with specific needs and they look for freelancers who can get results.
Also, remove this: "I enjoy writing articles, typing, and data entry." because it is irrelevant to electromechanical engineering. If it is relevant; meaning, you develop electromechanical technical documention, you should explain your process.
For the other parts of your summary, talk about your experience automating industrial systems. Talk about your process for working with clients to understand their needs, and specific examples of what you can build.
I also suggest adding one or two more items to your portfolio. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
