Kimberly,
Your write-up sounds more like a commercial than a profile. You should write a narrative that shows who you are through your personal story. "I am an expert _________________ with ______________ training and _____________ work experience who can provide you with ______________________________."
If you make it a personal story like that, clients will realize there is only one person like yourself. If you write it like a commecial, you sound like everybody else.
There is nothing wrong with your profile, except that by sounding like everyone else, you will get work once in a while simply becuse you have been standing in line (with everyone else) long enough.
There are millions of freelancers on Upwork who do what you do. If you sound like everybody, you will be standing in line a long, long, long time before you get any work. Then, after that, you will wait a long, long, long time for your next assignment, because the line gets longer every day.
You have to try not to sound like everyone. You do that by writing a personal story. Your story. Make sure it focuses on your talents and sounds like you know what you are doing. Sound as confident as humanely possible.
Again -- there's nothing wrong with your profile except that it sounds like everyone else.

Sarthak,
I think your profile looks good. Your summary provides good details for clients and your consultation, portfolio, skills, testimonials, certification, and employment history look good.
You should consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking a minimum of 10 business days. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.
Good luck!

Esther,
Instead of using only a list in your overview/summary, use a conversational tone to tell clients how you can help them. For example:
Do you feel like you are drowning in a sea of tasks and responsibilities? I provide administrative support, phone support, respond to emails and chat inquiries, write documents and letters, schedule meetings, perform data entry, make appointments, coordinate business events and calendars, manage social media accounts, and translate documents (English/Spanish). |
Clients looking for virtual assistants will find hundreds of thousands of them on Upwork. The question is, do they have enough good reasons to choose you? The information you provide can help them better understand why they should hire you and how it will benefit them.
Be sure to add skill categories to each item in your portfolio.
Also, add more skill catetories to your skills list. As a virtual assistant, there are several skill categories you should add to represent your skills. Upwork uses these skill categories to match you with relevant jobs, and to help your profile appear in search results when clients search for those skills.

Khaliq,
Take out your first sentence. Why do you need that? Answer: You don't. It does not provide any information about you that people (clients) need to decide whom they will hire. That first sentence is a waste of time.
Good luck.

Please have a look at my profile and let me know if anyone is willing to give me the feedback.
Thank you.

Abinet,
I think the first part of your overview/summary will be a bit confusing to clients. You start by mentioning an increase in YouTube views, but you follow it with accomplisments. I think the accomplishments are great, but clients are interested in their goals (your services), so you may want to mention those first.
Also, I recommend removing the emojis and using an introductory sentence at the beginning of your summary. Do the same for your Graphic Design specialized profile. When clients search for freelancers, only the first 200-250 characters of your summary are shown. This means you have very little space to get their attention. Using emojis in this space means less space for important words like your services and success metrics.
You are missing an important skill category in your skills list. YouTube Thumbnail is mentioned in your title and summary, so it should be included in your skills list. Upwork uses these skill categories to match you with relevant jobs, and to help your profile appear in search results when clients search for those skills.
You can remove the long list of hashtags and keywords at the end of your summary; this will not help your profile appear higher in search results or improve your job matches.
Your video introduction, portfolio, and employment history look good.
Good luck!

Can you please have a look at my profile and let me know if anyone is willing to give me the best feedback?
Thank you.

Annetia,
Your profile needs more information to convince clients to hire you. Your overview/summary makes a good start, but you need to go further so that clients see the value in choosing you.
The first thing you should do is change your profile photo. The picture in your photo should be a close-up image of your head and shoulders that clearly shows your face. Read through Upwork's best practices for How to Choose A Good Profile Picture.
Next, remove the word "PROFILE" from the beginning of your summary. Add more details about your customer support work processes, and how it benefits clients. For example:
Clients are looking for reasons to choose you and the information you provide can help them better understand why they should hire you and how it will benefit them.
Instead of using "||" in your title with no space between words, it will look better like this: Customer Support Representative | Assistant
Add a portfolio to show samples of previous work or to demonstrate your skills. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
Good luck!

Hi AndreaG, Please have a look at my profile and provide your honest feedback. Thanks
Mar 13, 2024 09:55:35 AM by Clark S
Hi Paul,
Andrea is an Upwork Moderator. The moderators provide valuable information to freelancers and moderate the forums, but they do not provide profile reviews. Other freelancers offer to review profiles and provide feedback.
I looked through your profile and everything looks good.
With 6 years of experiene, your $15.00/hr hourly rate seems on the low end. I looked at other cloud/Azure developers based in Nigeria and most are between $25.00/hr - $50.00/hr.
Finally, you should also consider creating a Specialized Profile that focuses on more specific related services or unrelated services where you have skills. Having a specialized profile can increase a freelancer's searchability.
Good luck!

Hello Artem,
I think your profile looks good. I have only three small suggestions:
1) I always recommend removing greetings at the beginning of an overview/summary:"Hello Everyone."
Why? Because when clients search for freelancers, only the first 200-250 characters of your summary are shown. Since you have very little space to get their attention, you want meaningful words (characters) to fill this space. Greetings are nice, but they fill up space that could be used by more important words. Removing "Hello Everyone" will allow more space for the rest of your summary.
2) In your specialized profile and your employment history, I suggest changing "frontend" to "front-end," since the latter is an industry accepted spelling and the spelling Upwork uses.
3) You should also consider adding a project catalog. The project catalog allows you to setup a pre-packaged service that clients can buy without you sending a proposal. Due to higher than usual requests for project catalogs, reviews and approvals are taking a minimum of 10 business days. Read Get Started With Project Catalog for more information.
Everything else looks great.

Daniel,
Your profile does not have enough information to convince clients to hire you. To make your profile more appealing to clients, provide more information in your overview/summary, add more relevant skills, and add a portfolio. Clients come to Upwork with specific needs and they look for freelancers who can get results.
Focus your summary on a specific skill area. If you are a virtual assistance, tell clients which virtual assistance services you can provide, your experience providing virtual assistance sevices, and the benefit the client will get in choosing you to provide those services.
Make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and other resources:

Ron Matthew,
Your profile overview/summary does not have enough information to convince clients to hire you. To make your profile more appealing to clients, provide more details about your bookkeeping services and why clients should choose you over thousands of bookkeepers on Upwork. Clients come to Upwork with specific needs and they look for freelancers who can get results.
Use your summary to tell clients exactly which services you offer. In addition to your services, mention your approach to providing those services and why your method is beneficial to them.
You are competing with hundreds of thousands of accounting/bookkeeping professionals, so clients need several reasons to choose you.
Add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. A job description is especially important when the job is highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork. Upwork uses keywords in job titles and descriptions to match you with relevant jobs.
Also, I suggest changing your profile photo. The picture in your photo should be a close-up image of your head and shoulders that clearly shows your face. Read through Upwork's best practices for How to Choose A Good Profile Picture.
Good luck!

Melina,
I looked through your profile and I have a few suggestions for improvements:
Title: Capitalize the first letter of each word in your title; this will help it stand out: Photoshop Expert/Photo Editor/Video Editor
Overview/Summary: Remove the first line in your summary: "Hello Dear clients,😊" Why? Because only the first two sentences of your summary (approximately 200-250 characters) are shown to clients when they search for freelancers. This means you have very little space to get their attention. You want clients to see their goals (your services) in this small space--not greetings or emojis.
You provide examples in your portfolio, but your summary does not tell clients what you can do. I recommend adding a sentence or two that describes exactly what you can do: "I specialize in photo editing, retouching portraits, color correction, background removal, skin smoothing, and making other corrections to your photos."
Employment History: Add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. A job description is especially important when the job is highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork. Upwork uses keywords in job titles and descriptions to match you with relevant jobs.
Your portfolio, skills, and testimonials look great.
Good luck!
