Hi Community!

Getting started on Upwork can take a lot of work and focus. To help make this process a little easier, we’ve created this post where you can request feedback on your profile. The community is full of experienced Upwork freelancers who are passionate about helping others. These users will review your profile and provide feedback based on their experience.

If you’re interested in requesting help, make sure your profile visibility is not set to “Private” and then reply below.

Hello I am new to Upwork. I would appreciate a profile review so i can start getting some work. When i started of the proposals i won were mostly from scammers, i would like to learn more about what i can do to achieve a good standing out profile.

Hey Surprise!

• I would suggest if possible using one of your other alternative names. I can understand if your name Surpirse but it's very unique and since it does have a different meaning, clients may think that you are joking with them and not been serious about it. Again, I respectfully undertand if you are called Surprise but upwork has options that you can use one of your legal alternative names. Contact support as they are the only ones that can help you.  

• You need to better word the categories/areas of expertise. I would suggest instead of saying "Document specialist ( PDF & Microsoft Office )",  say "Personal Assistant", or "Administrative Support" and then list some of the things you can help clients with.  Try to rewrite your entire profile to make sound more objective and professional.
• Add a video as well.

I took a look at your profile, and here are a few suggestions:

• Delete this from your description:
  "Looking for someone to manage your contents, articles or software-related issues while you can handle other things of the projects? You have come to the right space. I believe in providing quality services with less money to spend. I always try getting all the burden off my client's shoulder and put myself on his/her shoe to accomplish their goal together."
  
  
• Delete: "- In my "Beyond the Brain Blogs", I try to explore different layers of life. (Link given in the portfolio)"
  
  
• Delete: "After years of working in the industry, I decided to start my career as a freelancer. I hope, if you give me a chance, we can make your project a brilliant one."
  
  
• This should be your opening paragraph:  "To give a brief overview of my career, I have 4+ years of experience in the technology field. Besides being a software developer, I enjoy writing. I read a lot, which I believe helps me to write on different topics with greater knowledge. "
  
  I would actually work or rewriting your profile. Search for successfull profiles to get more inspiration.

•  I would suggest splitting up the focus areas of the main profile, since content writting is so different from working as a developer.
  
  
•  Your potoflio pictures are great, but a lot of them are just photos. Clients will want to see more content written by you if you want to be a writer for them.
  
  
• I would add a video talking about your proficiency in writting and one for your profile as a developer
  
  
• Your profile description contains several issues pertaining to the wording and it's just not elequently written. I would rewrite it and give it my best, and show how good your writing is. Clients would probably not feel 100% confident that you can deliver content that is 100% written with eloquence based on your current profile description.

You will get a reply if any client finds your profile interesting as per their requirements. Kindly make sure that profile visibility is set to public.
