The community is full of experienced Upwork freelancers who are passionate about helping others. These users will review your profile and provide feedback based on their experience.

If you’re interested in requesting help, make sure your profile visibility is not set to “Private” and then reply below.

We’re excited to see how Community members can continue to help each other to grow!

Note: A previous version of this post was closed as the number of responses made it difficult to read and navigate. If you had not received a response yet to a request you made, please post again in this thread.

Audrey,

Welcome to Upwork.

Good start to your profile. I think your overview/summary is nice, but it might be more appealing to clients if you can add any information about your experience providing data analytics services to other clinics, healthcare institutions, organizations, etc. Also, it will be great to add more content that focuses on the client's needs. This sentence: "I organize and resolve complex processes, projects, and problemsis great and speaks directly to a client's goals.

I recommend making slight wording changes to highlight your expertise. Then, talk more about specific data analysis tasks and how you can help potential clients meet their goals. Here is an example:

I'm an expert data analytics professional with an eye for data, design, storytelling and collaboration. I organize and resolve complex processes, projects, and problems. I can help you collect, analyze, and visualize your data to make informed business decisions using SQL, Tableau, Excel, Git, Power BI, and project management tools.

I work in value-based care/population health analytics and work extensively in healthcare claims and clinical data. I can help you leverage your structured and unstructured healthcare data to drive better business decisions and to solve your most challenging problems.

My professional expertise includes:
◉ Healthcare
◉ Health tech
◉ Innovation and design
◉ Data analytics
◉ Entrepreneurship
◉ Disability rights and accessibility
◉ Brain injury and rehabilitation
◉ Caregiving

With a strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail, I will help you extract valuable insights from your clinical data and present them in a clear and meaningful way. No matter the source of your data, I can perform moderate to complex data transformations, and combine that information into a simplified view for you and your stakeholders.

Let's talk about your data analytics needs and how I can help.

You don't have to keep the information I wrote, but you get the idea--keep the focus on the client's needs and how your services will benefit them.

Also, you should add a portfolio to show samples of your work. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients, and clients like visuals. Most data analytics professionals will show Tableau screenshots, Excel datasheets, Power BI screenshots, etc. in their profiles.

The rest of your profile looks good. I think the biggest thing is your summary--once you add more substance, I think more clients will be convinced to hire you based on your experience and services.

Good luck!

Md AI,

There is no direct way for freelancers to encourage clients to send invites. As long as your profile contains valid information about your skills, experience, and qualifications, you have everything you need to get invites.

I looked through your profile and there is nothing wrong it, and I don't see any problems that would prevent a client from hiring you.

Kazi Abdul,

Your experience is similar to that of hundreds of thousdands of freelancers.  Competition is high, so it is a challenge to win new jobs. There is nothing wrong with your Upwork account, but your profile could use some updates.

For example, the first paragraph in your overview/summary is focused only on you, when it should be focused on clients:

Hi there, Welcome to my profile. As you are seeing my name is Kazi Abdul Motaleb and I am from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have completed my B.Sc in Comuputer Science and Engineering from an well know private university named Sonargaon University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have completed my Diploma in Engineering (4yrs) certificate in Computer Technology from Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I would remove everything in the first paragraph because it does not tell clients about your services and how you can help them. Clients can only see the first two sentences of your summary when they search for freelancers. This means, you have very little space--only two sentences--to get their attention and convince them to click. Mentioning your name, location, diplomas, and college names in the first two sentences will not get a client's attention.

Gnaneshwar,

Correct the spelling errors in your title and capitalize the first letter of each word to help it stand out: Graphic Design | Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, CorelDraw

You should consider adding Graphic Design to your skills list since you use it in your title and summary. It is important to keep your skills list updated with relevant skills categories so that Upwork can match you with relevant jobs, and so your profile will appear when clients search for your skills.

Ali,

I think your profile looks good.

I would remove"hello" from the first line in your overview/summary. I think your summary will get more attention if "hello" is removed and the first thing a client sees is, "Are you looking to elevate your online presence and drive more traffic to your website?"

Add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. This is especially important when the jobs are highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork.

Everything else looks good.

Hi Jakob,

Your profile does not have enough information to convince clients to hire you. Clients are looking for freelancers who can help them get results, and your profile is the best platform to explain how you can help them reach their goals.

First, correct the spelling of your title. Copywritwer  - > Copywriter. Then, add more information to your overview/summary about your copywriting experience; add more details about the services you provide (i.e., articles, blogs, etc.); and tell clients why you are the best option for them

Make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

Hi upwork team everyone, how are you. My name is Shah Alam. I am new to

Can anyone please help me?

Shah,

Neither freelancers nor moderators can help determine what happens when you send proposals. Clients may or may not view your proposals, but you must continue to send proposals and write great cover letters to win jobs.

For tips on cover letters, read through Upwork's best practices on How To Write a Cover Letter.

Legese,

The best way to get started is to ensure your profile provides valuable information for clients. In your profile overview/summary, start by telling clients which marketing management services you provide and specific things you can do to help them. Your summary starts with information about your college degrees and your personal backgrounds. Clients do not care about these as much as they care about the services you can provide to help them meet their goals.

Since you are new to Upwork, make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

Please have a look at profile and leave a feedback thanks

Joshua,

Most clients are looking for data entry professionals with experience, so it can be very difficult to win jobs if you have no data entry experience.

To sound more convincing, talk about your approach to providing data entry, web research, etc. Talk about your timeliness, accuracy, and ability to communicate effectively. Also talk about how you respect deadlines and can help maintain quality standards. Remember--you are competing with hundreds of thousands of data entry specialists, so clients need a reason to choose you.

Add a portfolio to show samples of data entry and data research. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.

Good luck!
