Manasvi,

I think you should revise your profile title. The title should include one ore more related skill areas, and "Microsoft Office" is not necessarily related to "Blog Writing." However, your summary does not speak of blog writing; rather, your summary includes details about healthcare administration. With that, your title should be something like: Healthcare Administrative Officer or Healthcare Administration

In your overview/summary, remove the greeting and your name: "Hello there! I'm Manasvi Keni," Why? Because only the first 200-250 characters of your summary are shown to clients when they search for freelancers. This means you have very little space to get their attention, and you want clients to see your services and skills--not greetings and your name.

Add a portfolio to show samples of previous work or to demonstrate your skills. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.

Also, add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. This is especially important when the jobs are highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork.

Hi there, I would be grateful to see the value in it if you could investigate my profile and let me know whether there is anybody who could offer me some significant criticism.

Hi MD Nurul,

One of the most important things you can do in your profile is use the first two sentences of your overview/summary to get client's attention. Clients will only see the first 200-250 characters (approximately two sentences) so you want clients to see their goals (your services) in those two sentences. You do not want to waste space with greetings, your name, or your location. You should remove this:

"Hi,, I am MD Nurul Karim, a skilled freelance professional from Saudi Arabia. "

Clients will be more likely to click if they see this within the first two sentences:

I'm an expert Data Analyst with 10+ of experience providing cost-effective web research, SEO, lead generation, digital marketing, web design and development, data entry, data mining, data research, and data conversion services for businesses across various industries.

In addition to listing what you work on, tell clients that you are timely, accurate, and communicate effectively. Also talk about how you can meet deadlines and can help maintain quality standards. You are competing with hundreds of thousands of data professionals, so clients need several reasons to choose you.

The other areas of your profile look fine.

Olumide,

Your write-up is fair enough, but you offer no details about your past work that would lend credibility to your claims. Your profile is written nicely, but there are 1.5 million writers on Upwork and many of them have tear sheets to show and can talk about their professional experience. What  publishers have taken you on? Where have your articles appeared? Where are your tear sheets?

Again, your profile looks fine, but it lacks the details that make you sound like a professional writer.

Muhammad,

I recommend revising the first part of your overview/summary by removing a few things. First, remove this:

"Passionate YouTube Video Editor | Transforming Ideas into Visual Masterpieces"

This type of opening repeats your title and adds a slogan, and brings no value to clients.

Also remove: "Hi, I'm Muhammad Hammad"

The reason both of these items should be removed is because only the first two sentences of your summary (approximately 200-250 characters) are shown to clients when they search for freelancers. You have very little space to get a client's attention, and you want them to see important words--no title repeats, no slogans, no greetings, and no names.

Then, I would remove the emojis and make the first list into a paragraph:

Dedicated expert YouTube Video Editor with a fervor for turning your creative concepts into compelling visual narratives. With 3+ years of experience in YouTube video editing production, I have operated two YouTube channels in the past 2 years and completed 10+ projects on Fiverr with a 5-star rating.

The rest of your summary is long and most clients will not read all of it, but the information there sounds good.

I think your portfolio, skills, project catalog, and other profile areas look good.

Hi Nouman,

I looked through your profile and everything appears to be in good shape. Your summary does a good job of explaining your services and how you can meet a client's needs. Your portfolio looks good and your skills list contains relevant skill categories.

I would add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. This is especially important when the jobs are highly relevant to the services you provide on Upwork.

Everything else looks good.

Hi, Clark!

Thank you for your thorough review and valuable feedback. I appreciate your positive comments on my profile, portfolio, and skills list.

Noted on the suggestion to add short job descriptions to my employment history—I'll incorporate this enhancement promptly.

Isha,

You should describe your past work experiences a  bit. The professional experience counts more than the amateur experience, but they both count.

This will give your profile more credibility. Here's the difference. I tell you I am a great water skiier. Do you believe me? Now I tell you I am a great water skiier who placed second at the Florida Water Skiing Competition with my bold approach to backward skiing. See the dfifference? Suddenly, I 'm a bit more believable because I offered some information that sounded credible.

Add some details about your work experience. This will help. Good luck.

Anis,

Don't take this the wrong way, but there are many very serious professionals on Upwork. There are 1.5 million writers here. There has to be about that many graphic designers and hundreds of thousands of video editors and social media professionals.

This means there are many, many, many professionals out there who concentrate on one skill alone. By doing that, they have constant experience and learn quickly. They can work faster than someone who just does that along with other things. They are better equiped and cheaper,  because that's all they do.

So the basic rule of thumb is to find one specific task that you think you can be competetive doing. Put all your energy into that one thing. Become the best graphic designer or video editor or social media manager in the world. That's how freelancers operate. Going for three things ... let's put it this way. Three months from now you will be wondering why you haven't gotten any work yet. It's a buyer's market. If you're not the best in the world at you skill, they can find someone who is and who is priced as low as you are.

As for the rest of it, "Stop wasting money" is a pretty negative start. I would delete that.

And don't say "Hi, I'm Anis." Your competitors start their profiles with "I am an expert ____________ who can solve your problems." You start with "Hi. I'm Anis." Your competitors beat you to the punch on sentence #1.

"Social Media posts design and Instagram reels editing, I have great experience in creating custom social media strategies designed to bring awareness to your brand!"

That sentence needs editing. The first phrase is awkwardly placed. Also, "great experience" is not technically kosher. It should be "I have years of experience ..." or "I have had years of valuable experiences ..."

I actually like the rest of your profile. There's a lot of information there, so I think that will be helpful to you.

Good luck to you.

Hi Nila,

I usually recommend freelancers remove greetings and their names from their overview/summary--especially if they are within the first few sentences. When clients search for freelancers, they will see only the first two sentences (approximately 200-250 characters). This means, you have very little space to get their attention, and you want to fit important words in that small space.

Other than that--your portfolio, skills, project catalog, and other profile areas look good.
