I think you need to revise your title to something more meaningful to clients. Using a title like "Researcher" is vague and clients will have no idea what you do.
In your profile, your overview/summary should not be a copy/paste of a résume. Instead, your summary should be an overview of your skills and services you can provide to clients. Also, parts of your summary are written from a third-person point of view ("they") when everything in your summary should be written from a first-person point of view ("I").
Make the first part of your summary an introduction instead of a list. You can easily do this by moving the content at the end, to the top, and adding blank lines between paragraphs. For example:

Add a portfolio to show samples of your work. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.
Also, add more skill categories to your skills list. Consider adding Zoology, Data Analysis, Biology, Molecular Biology, and any others related to your work. It is important to keep your skills list updated with relevant skills categories so that Upwork can match you with relevant jobs, and so your profile will appear when clients search for your skills.
