Hey, thanks a lot Valentina. Really appreciate your valuable inputs 🙂.

And yes, I also think portfolio is indeed very important and I am currently working on building the same! I've also created a project catalogue, which is under review. Will surely add a portfolio, as I have actually worked on multiple projects in past. Once again, many thanks for your response 😄

Hi,

I am new to up work and would like feedback its been more than a month and still not getting orders....

Hello All,

I am a newbie freelancer with 4+ years of experience in my data analytics and VA field. It's been more than a month but I can still see that my profile doesn't get too much noticed, although my profile is 100% complete and I guess I did my best to put all my qualifications and skills.

I would you all who are very experienced in this field to guide that how can I  make my profile more visible to clients. I am attaching the snap of my reach in this post, to make the picture clearer.

Thank you,

Shubham Jain

Hello Community,

Please what can I do better to get interviews from my proposals. My JSS is 81%. I haven't gotten any interview for some weeks. I really don't know what I am doing wrong, since I haven't experienced such prolonged "no-interview" situation before.

Please has anyone gone through such a situation? Kindly advice me. I have also only received one invitation so far. How can I get more invites?

Thank you for your response.

Regards,
Ofure.

You should not sit around waiting for invitations. To get jobs, you must submit proposals.

Sorry to tell you, but your profile is nothing.
The title does not correspond to what you are supposed to sell, the description does not say what you offer the client, your price per hour is excessive and you should expand your portfolio.
Perhaps you should check the profiles of other freelancers who are within your field to see how they have done it.
Of course, just look, not copy.

I would really appreciate any feedback for my profile , especially profile pic, as it is what clients see other than proposal and rate. Should I smile less without showing teeth ? Does this pic look unprofessional ?
Thank you.

Hi Shikhar, 🙂 I never recommend to anyone smile less. Humans can smile, so they should 🙂 My suggestion is - consider changing your background. It does not allow to focus on your face. Consider adding more items to the portfolio. Add some testimonials from previous clients/employers.

Good luck, I am sure you will find more clients here.

Thank you so much for the valuable feedback ! I'll ammend my profile accordingly.

Have not been hired at all on this platform. I want someone to look up my profile and tell me what needs to be done.

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't get any response

Calm!

You have to bear in mind that the answers are given by freelancers like you. This is not done by Upwork workers, not even by whoever advertises it.

That said, I can't tell you anything about your field or your English, but you must delete both the greeting and your name in the three profiles, they already know who you are and the first two lines are very important. They are the only thing the customer sees before clicking on his profile.
So remove "Overview" and "Hey ..."

It is also very long and scattered for me, as well as having repeated information.

By the way, who is Oluwaseyi?
You haven't copied his presentation from another freelancer, have you?

Oh dear. I hope not.

I am currently running an L.L.B in Law with background experience in data entry.

I got so hung up on this sentence, I was unable to proceed further. Nobody is running a degree. Degrees are not run. Scams are run. A law degree with a specialisation in data entry is also not something that seems to make much sense.

I am not insinuation that OP is a scammer. I am leaving it open for interpretation. It might just have been the poorest choice of words in the history of ever. (Phew I hope that was lawyerly enough to not get sued.)

The invitations may or may not arrive.
You must send proposals and not depend only on invitations.

Hello, I am new to Upwork and would loved to get your feedback on my profile. Thank you so much for your time and commitment to helping newbies.

Cecile, your profile is a great start. The overview section needs to focus more on services offered instead of past work experience. Do you have any freelancing experience? Or any certifications related to project management?Adding those to your profile might help. Also, develop a portfolio that showcases your talent. It is not quite common to have portfolios in project management but you can take a look at other freelancers in your field to get some ideas.

Good luck, you will be a rising talent soon.

Please, I'd love a review too. I made some changes and I'd love to know where else I could focus on

Please, I'd love a profile review too so I can know where to improve

Arowoduye, your profile reads well. One minor change that can be done - under the overview section, the first paragraph usually focuses on services offered instead of a general discussion. Also consider adding a complete headshot. Good luck.

Thanks for your help. I'll make the changes as advised .

Hello brother. I hope You are doing good.

I have a Question, I want to say that What things suspends account.

I Really love to work on Upwork. I'm new on Upwork. But when I see YouTube I saw that alot of people uploading vodeos that.

- my account has been suspended
- how to recover suspended

Then i searched in Upwork and I saw Trust and safety Actions. but little bit i understood what to do what to not.

but anyone a oldest Freelancer here who can tell me or do list for me what cam i avoid?

for example!

sharing WhatsApp or email suspends account or not?

or

i used to send my alot of side clients to Upwork so that they give me project through upwork. so sometimes I'm telling them procedures of making contract this makes suspension or not.

mean i need this kind of list so that i will not do these things. I need nice advice from Old Freelancers.

Thanks in advance

Elena, your profile reads well and you've a nice professional pic up there. Few changes to consider - Add more items to the portfolio, in particular items that align well with services you offer. Add more words to skills list and delete words that are not relevant to services you offer (e.g., crochet may not be directly relevant to services offered.) If you have any certifications or testimonials from previous jobs, you could add that. Lastly, read Upwork freelancer resources  periodically - it's time well spent... rather invested.  Good luck, I know you will do extremely well on this platform.

Hello all please guide me what to do i have been submitting proposals everyday and make my cover letter very catchy with relevant attachments.

Like i get it clients aren't always gonna hire me or call me for an interview but they don't even view my profile. My profile views are zero for months. I'm even boosting my proposals now but still its same.

Forget about profile views, it's a pretty meaningless number. It doesn't count views that come from a proposal.

I have not being called for an interview for more than 3 months apart from one client i have.

After submitting tons of proposals and even now boosting them I'm not getting any call for interview. Clients are not even clicking on my profile

How do you know that?

Because my profile views remain zero which means clients are not even going through my profile and thats why I'm not being called for an interview by clients.

Please help me if there's any solution its been 3 months since i have been called for an interview

The solution: Stop obsessing about something that is meaningless.
