Getting work

Ok, so I'm new to this site. I have worked on my profile and sent out several proposals but so far I haven't heard a single thing from any potential clients. I know I'm new but I have solid writing credits. Not sure what's going on.

Oh wow!

So that's a stark reality (which by the way it is 44,489 for US Only writers).  This reality is pretty much true across the board, here is my search:

So you are not alone and everyone who comes here faces that wall.  You are the only one who can figure out if you can get over that wall.  Of the things you can control that will get you over the first one is being different.  You have to stand out.  This comes down to your profile (and mine sucks) and your proposals, you want to be engaged you have to be engaging.  You have to look at the jobs out there and find the ones you can smash and then write a brief statement explaining to the client how you will smash it.

The second is you have to decide you are going to climb that wall.
