Was it a contract? Hourly-based or Fixed contract? It does not show on your profile. There was never a contract between you two, so the work is lost, and the money is gone... Learn how to work as a freelancer on Upwork and MOVE ON

Hi Sangeeta,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked and it looks like you were not hired for this job and shouldn't provide any work until your client sends you an offer and a contract is created under your My Jobs tab. Please note that any request for free work is not allowed on Upwork, and it is a violation of Upwork's Terms of Service.

Hello,
I'm new to Upwork, and I accepted my first job on the 10th of the month. Designs were created and shared with the client throughout the job duration, and all of these conversations took place on Upwork. However, today, 9 days after the job's start date, the client canceled the job. What policy should be followed for the time and effort invested up to this point? I've asked the client why they canceled and am awaiting a response, but this situation is quite unusual.
Thank you.
