I know I am not computer literate, but compare this site to Uber (which is the whole idea of the site - connect a client with a job, just like connect a passenger with a ride, and do it via a site). Your site is MUCH MUCH too complicated. Not only too many steps, but the page layout is not intuitive at all. When I do one step I have to guess what I am to do next. AND I get error messages even when something has been done successfully (!), and what works on one browser does not work on another browser. This is not a well thought out layout and interface at all. Oh, and even when searching for a freelancer, I was given many irrelevant suggestions/hits, although I ultimately found a fine one. Uber would be out of business if it was one-tenth as bad as this site. The service is potentially good - I needed a freelancer to work on a Wordpress site, and that can be done remotely - but I spent more time on your site, and chats, and a phone call, than working with the freelancer! That is not a good business model! Even trying to establish a payment method proved to be a nightmare as the site couldn't "validate" a perfectly valid and functioning PayPal account. The site showed zero (0) hires even after I'd finally hired someone! And I'm still trying to figure out how to compliment the freelancer I did hire. Part of it is me, of course, but I don't have trouble working with Amazon, or Uber, or my bank, etc. online.

Well I do agree that it is cumbersome and non intuitive, but it is not that bad. Comparision with Uber is apples and organges. Think of the site as Air B&B. Any problems just call them up. Customer support is very good. For a client they will bend backwards (They have been good to me as a freelancer as well).
