Hard work put in for proposals

Hi,

With all due respect, I started on Upwork and it has been a great experience for me. But, I want to address an issue about the clients, I put a lot of efforts in writing a customized proposal for a clients and they clearly do not respond, and adding on to the misery, upon withdrawal of the proposal we do not even get the connects we spent. Is there a way we can be treated fairly? Because I believe there are other people as well who feel frustrated about it.

I have seen lots of people talking about this.
The way I see it is most importantly, you dont get back the time you spent in working on the proposal...so while we wait for the ideal - perhaps we can do something about it ourselves.; save time and frustration by keeping things short whenever possible
